Hedgehog pregnant

So when I woke up this morning I saw my hedgehog is gone from her cage. She is pregnant and the due date is supposed two more days or more but she jump off her cage which i put on the table , I don’t know weather she is injured but I found out that she hiding under the shelf in my store room ,it was dark. I hear liking sound and I think she is giving birth and then I hear squeaking sound but I can see them because they are hiding inside and it was dark . I put some food and water for her and I don’t know what to do ? Please help me!!!

      How come you have a hedgehog in a cage Nathan? Other than food and water (and quiet / warmth) I'm not sure what else you could do. You could try one of the many hedgehog rescue / websites such as:

      Why are you keeping a hedgehog in a cage, they are wild animals. They go off to give birth in private, not on the table.

      Agree with Lyn & GD, unless you are of course talking about African Pygmy hedgehogs that are pets? If not, European hedgehogs should be outside at this time of year unless you rehabilitating them on behalf of a rescue which is doubtful.
