Identification of Plant/Shrub

Hello, everyone. This plant/shrub appeared in our front garden - I used to nip it off when shoots first appeared then decided to let it grow to see what it looks like - it may have spread from an area under one of our conifers; it does seem to be invasive, as I've noticed shoots elsewhere, and it grows fairly quickly. It is about 3.5ft in height. I hope it isn't JK... the nodes don't appear to zig-zag and the stems aren't hollow.

  • Yes, Nutcutlet and Asarum..... Excuse my ignorance but I'd never heard of the term 'suckers'..... We don't have a plum tree but we DO have a damson tree in close proximity and the leaves/stems match exactly.... So it's 'suckers from a damson '! I've learned something 😀 Thanks!
