Peppermint plants going a bit leggy?

I've got quite a few Peppermint plants in pots, which are growing well, but a bit leggy.
Would it be okay to cut them back?

Yes, cut them back by two thirds ... they'll do much better for it.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I chopped mine a few weeks ago and it's come back strong already
