Slopes garden to be terraced - Help!

I’m looking to terrace my sloped garden and have lots of ideas but I’m not sure about some elements. Would anyone be able to recommend a book or a website about designing on a slope? The gardens that I’ve been to see and those that inspire me are usually level and I’m not sure if some of my ideas will translate.

thanks in advance!

Depends what you mean by sloped. Our plot slopes in every possible direction and from nearly level to a 4 metre high 1:1 deathtrap grass bank. A photo or two would be useful as well as an indication of soil type, weather etc. What works in my infertile north facing steep acid soil in SE England might not be of much use to someone on gently undulating chalk grassland.
