Orange critters????

These have have appeared the last few days. Like tiny millipedes in very large numbers in clusters always on the edge of a leaf or my gate post. Anyone any ideas as to what they? They seem to leave ‘scorch’ marks on a leaf. Can’t see any other damage.

    Possibly some kind of sawfly larvae.
    No action required.
