I have just dug this up as it was taking over and just wilting - any ideas what it is?

Not yet but I think the buds look slightly blue.

It's dock.. the flowers are from Myosotis.
    Utah, USA.

It might look like dock at first glance but on closer examinnation, it isn't. I have lots of forget-me-not's in my garden and those are not forget-me-not flowers. I also bought a wild clary "wildflower" this year so recognised the similarity. (unfortunately seen dock before as well)
  • Some sort of Figwort may be?
The small blue flower in the foreground does look as if it's been torn from a forget-me-not plant though.

That flower in the front is indeed forget-me-not but not attached to the large plant in question.

Ju13 is right, there is a small piece of forget me not that's not attached to the plant but the plant and it's flowers are definitely not dock, Figwort was my guess, too. Hopefully someone will be along shortly with a definitive answer.
