Sunshine. They have probably been inside and not got enough. When you plant them out after a few days hardening off, fertilise the soil before planting with a good fertiliser, and water in well. They will soon pick up.
Keep them well fed and watered through the season too. They're hungry, thirsty plants. Make sure you don't plant them too close together, whether in pots or in the ground. Good air flow is really beneficial to them
