Wind chimes

I know this isn't actually a gardening question, but I expect a few folk have them swinging in the breeze.........
I bought  Woodstock Windchimes last week, not a cheap item,so was quite disappointed to find that they only tinkle in a force 9!
Does anyone know if they can be adjusted?  ie make the thread longer?

You need a larger dangle, to catch the wind.  Something the right weight so it swings well, but also causes the upper part to strike the chimes with force.

Wind chimes!  I bought some little metal ones and some bamboo ones for the garden and they drove me mad.   Constant noise.

Whoops, almost forgot to thank you Blue Onion! I wondered if that might be the case, which is a shame as the Woodstock stamp is on that part! Maybe I can stick it on to something larger and lighter in weight?  Made in America by the way!

Thanks.  Maybe add some chunky glass beads above the dangle to give it some weight?

Owners of wind chimes should be garotted with the dang things.
