Odd things happening

Does anyone else have this issue on the site or is it just my phone playing up. When I type a message if there is a spelling mistake and I go to change it by clicking on the words that show up as recommended spelling, it won't change it to what I click on but just changes to a random spelled word or letters in different order!!?? it's only on this site that it happens so don't think it's my phone else it'd do it elsewhere too? Any suggestions?

    I’m afraid my phone is so old it only makes phone calls but I shall bump this up to the top of the list so that others might be able to help.

    This website does weird stuff when I use my iPad all the time (I'm with pansyface, I only have a 'dumb' phone - as opposed to a smart phone).  Spelling mistake corrections often add in a copy of the word already typed in front of it.  If I put in a picture or a link, it's challenging to get the cursor to start flashing back in the text box to finish the post.. I have to get quite aggressive and repetitive with my jabby finger pokes.

    Just watch out for a reply that you decided was not suitable on the thread that you have joined in with.  It somehow reappears two days later in your reply section, making nonsense  of what you wanted to say this time. 

    I am lucky and have deleted odd comments..so far, but it could make me blush and leave the site in embarrassment. If we don't want to say something and delete it, then that should be that.

    I think keyboard settings are down to the individual devicedevice ? But as you can see if I leave it unedited, mine has developed a stutter too. Often duplicating words at random 😲.
    I'm using a kindle fire (android). Can't comment on other sites as I avoid faceache etc. but don't have this problem with e-mails.

    I haven’t noticed any problems with the ipad.

    Do you use predictive text? I don’t. I can’t stand the way it tries to put words into my mouth.

    Perhaps it has something to do with it?

    I dunno pansy, Topbird told me how to switch it off a couple of weeks ago but it still does it and stutters.
    Life's too short to faff about so I just put up with it.
    (and the million edit cogs I get at the bottom from fixing it) 😆

    Purplerain, I think your problem is that it saves drafts as you go along, so if you don't actually post it, what you wrote is still saved. You can get rid of any drafts by going to 'My drafts' (in the same green boxes as 'My discussions') and deleting them. It only shows if you'v got a saved draft.
