Could someone please tell me the name of my palm and as you can see, it's not very well. Can I make it better, or is it past help? the new leaves are dying and I don't know what to do. Thanks for any help.
Looks like a badly mauled Phoenix canariensis ; damaged leaves resulting probably from the severe cold we saw a few weeks ago . Only borderline hardiness in most of the UK . Check the growing point is OK , should be a solid 'growing-bud' at the tip ; if it's soft or black/brown , the plant is a goner I'm afraid ; they will not branch in the mode of most other plants , ever !
