Prunus Amanogowa flower shortage!

Hello all. I planted a 6 foot tall P.Amanogowa last year and she seems to be doing well ( despite the heavy snow ) but there haven’t been many flowers this spring. Any ideas?

    Everything is late this year so maybe the flowers will come or, possibly, the buds were frozen and killed.  Better luck next year then.
