The blue 'Privacy settings' box in the bottom right corner is a new legal requirement under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). It can’t be dismissed or hidden as the idea is that it must be easy to access at all times should you wish to change your settings.

Can anyone name this lovely plant for me - the flowers are a reddish/purple colour. Thanks.

    I’m not 100% sure but it looks like an Osteospermum of some sort - maybe Nairobi Purple.

    I knew them as cineraria when I worked in garden centres, but that's over 30 years ago now.
    Lots of plants have had name changes since then. Some more than once.

    That's interesting Hostafan - I remember the name cineraria too.  Thank you all for helping to name the plant - will it survive a winter here I wonder?
