    There didn't seem to be anywhere to ask the question when I downloaded the photo. Anyway if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

    What's the question?  Your figs are looking just great ... well ahead of ours ... just don't let the tree dry out.  It needs free-draining soil but that doesn't mean that it isn't a thirsty plant.  A fortnightly dose of tomato feed is good too. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    It's probably difficult to tell at the size they are , but I was wondering what type of fig they could be ?

    Some of the figs seem to be going soft and becoming lighter in colour, whereas other figs seem to be ok, any ideas what could be wrong.  I have been giving it a weekly dose of seaweed .
