Evening Everyone,

i have noticed that when I’m digging in the garden the bees hover around the ground and seem to very interested in the soil. Any idea why?

Thanks 😃

    What kind of bees?

  • I can’t tell really, they don’t seem to attack me when I’m there they just seem very curious as to what I’m doing.

Could be mining bees or a similar ground nesting bee and you're either providing an enticing nest site or maybe digging up their existing one. Or they could be mason bees after a bit of useful mud for their nest. Or they could be nosey bees that are generally just nosey. Ok I made that last one up.

  • Ahh that makes sense! I’ll leave them be then- no pun intended :D haha!
