Help identifying plant or weed?

These two have been growing away and unsure if they are seeds sowed last year or weeds?

    They do look like penstemon in the leaves but they would be VERY early flowering.

    I dont think ive planted any and dont have any in garden, last year I had lobelia and candytuft and phlox in that area but doesnt look as I remember any of them

    By the bite marks I wonder if it’s some sort of lily with the dreaded beetle somewhere in hiding. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
