Lavender Help Needed

i have recently bought a Flowering Lavender plant from a local nursery, I potted it and have been watering it regularly but not overdoing it.  It stands on my balcony and is in the sun for most of the day.
i have noticed it is badly wilting and don’t know what to do to bring it back to life again??
I am new to the green fingered world so any advice would be much appreciated, just wanted a kick of colour on my balcony and the smell of lavender is so relaxing!

Over-watering? Not sure whether it would make it wilt, but lavender doesn't like to be in moist soil. Mine bakes on a south facing patio, some in pots, and I never water it.

It also likes to be in rubbish gritty soil (that doesn't hold water).
  • Oh really?? Eek! Ok i will stop with the watering.  I hope it can be saved!

They are like orchids - nearly always killed by overwatering and over-attention (or being planted in clay).
