What to plant with Phormiums

I have some large pots with small Phormiums in them. I know the Phormiums will grow large but would like to plant something around them until they do. The plants pots are in a location that can hardly get to in full sun. So ones that like draught like the phormiums would be good. Suggestions please.

I agree with freddie with bedding plants, I put some trailing plants in like begonia etc.
