Last year something got to my plums before me ! Almost all of them had holes bored into them. Can anybody tell me what could have caused this ? And how I can protect this year's crop ?
plum moth lay eggs in the flowers which then develop in to little pink wigglers in the fruit. They ripen early and often go mouldy. You can get plum moth pheromone traps from garden centres. They are not 100% effective, but if used every year it cuts the damage down.
