Sambuca plant

Hi I have a Sambuca plant it's been beautiful however I think I have murdered it by bad pruning and now as of today I still cannot see any new shoots at the moment it looks all twiggy, have i killed it??

    Almost definitely not. They're virtually indestructible. 
    Is that where the drink comes from ? ;)

    Is it Sambuca or Sambucus??? I've always used the latter ... whatever, mine is only just starting to sprout new growth so don't worry!
  • Phew!!!!! Really thought I had done some serious damage - I don't think its actually brewed from the plant LOL and anyway, myself and drinks just don't mix, but thanks for putting my mind at ease.

    You can make elderflower (Sambucus is elderberry) cordial and elderflower champagne :)
  • Wow that's pretty interesting actually, thanks for the feedback like I said, I am out there every morning just studying it, however, I have another one which I left alone, thank goodness,and that's already starting to sprout, and that it why I was worried because the other one just looks like big twigs!!!!! It looks heathier enough, I guess I just need to be patient lol.
