my tulips have now gone over, I want to plant in that space again so need to store them for oct-Nov planting. What process do i need to do i.e: cut the stem how to store etc
I dig them up with a lot of soil on them and store in a rolled down compost sack, make some holes in the bottom and around the sides, put in an out of the way place until the green had completely disappeared. They don’t always come so good next year, some do, some don’t , but worth a try if you’ve got new ones to put in.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
