What can I plant?

Hi all,

I have a garden with a really dark corner, it doesn't get any light at all. I would like to plant some kind of bush / tree. So can someone advise what type would survive in an area with no sun? Many Thanks x

What's causing the shade? If it's dense planting- hedges/trees/big shrubs - that will affect what you plant as the soil's moisture will be a factor.
Having said that, lots of things will be suitable unless it's as dry as dust. In that case, anything sizeable will struggle to thrive and you may have to use ferns and other dry shade perennials which will cope with that.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Snowberry (Symphoricarpos) can take a lot of shade. It also grows, for me, under big trees so it must also be able to handle a dry soil. Funnily enough it also grows in very wet soils!

It can be invasive, so you'd need to keep on top of it if it decided to spread its wings.
