This has just popped up, taken it out to a pot, until identified.

    Looks like an extremely healthy and happy creeping buttercup...Ranunculus repens.

    Looks like creeping buttercup to me too ... I've been digging several out this afternoon. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    wonder where that came from, lol.

    Digging out cause they are not desirable?

    Well, they're pretty if you have a farm ... lovely around the edge of a meadow full of grazing cows ... but in a garden they will spread and spread and spread and form a thick blanket and stop anything else from growing so yes, I dig them out.
