Climber Ideas Please

Evening Gardeners,

I was wondering whether any of you had any ideas for what to plant in this little container by my new front door. I think it is pretty shady there, the weather's been a bit too grotty since I moved in to really tell!

Fragrance would be nice although not essential.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mel

  • If the bottom of the box is standing on soil then a jasmine or tracalospermum jasminoides would give you flowers and perfume.

If the box has a base I think annuals planted fresh each year would do better because you could replace the soil each year.

It's a pretty small planter for a permanent climber. Summer-long fragrant annuals that like shade?
