    Prunus padus...bird cherry....Glands..see pics

    sorry cannot get it to work.

    Might have happened here - the previous owners certainly planted a rambling rose near the trunk. Said rose is now trying to take over the garden so I might have to chop it back hard!

    Oops, thought you meant my pics! I think I could see two tiny "blobs" at the base of the stem, which I assume are the glands.

    Mine are not as noticeable as that, but perhaps they've yet to develop. I'll keep an eye on them.
