hi all, 2questions, one;I planted 5pulmonaria last year , they seem to have disappeared! How & why could this new?!two:we visited knightshayes in Devon this week& saw some lovely blue flowers carpeting some areas of woodland, they were definitely not bluebells, they had similar leaves, the flowers looked like blue ransoms but slightly larger flowers, I took photos but hubby taken camera away to conference in Budapest! Help can anyone identify? I've been googling but can't find them! Many thanks in advance

How tall were they?
Scillas and Chionodoxas can make a lovely carpet, but they are short. Triteleia(Brodaiea) come in shades of blue and are taller, but I would have thought it a bit early for them, but I'm  not in Devon. There's also Allium caeruleum, but I've not grown that (yet, it is very tempting!)
And just remembered, there is  Camassia esculenta or Quamash, which might fit the bill.
Hope you can find a match, it's annoying, isn't it, to have something niggling away!

Thanks buttercup,I'm sure they're not Scilla or chionodoxa, I grow those, I'll google others& let you know, I found quite a few articles particularly about knightshayes as it is known for woodland/Spring plant( well worth a visit) but still couldn't find s mention!

Hi Rosemummy, l went to Knightshayes Court a couple of years ago with workmates. I'm sure that Scilla Siberica was mentioned by one of them when we said how pretty they looked planted on mass.

Doesn't quite fit your description but the have masses of Erythronium Knightshayes Pink..and Cyclamen repandum....maybe the leaves belong to bluebells?

Thank you! Have had another look at the Scilla Siberia in my garden& am now not sure! I saw the pink erythroniums, it was a lovely place to see spring flowers, I'd love to see the two wisteria grown as 'trees in flower,  it definitely wasn't erythroniums, I did see them they were lovely, I'll just have to go back& ask!

My pulmonaria can disappear to not much plant, but this time of year it comes back strongly.
