Planting in a wall

I have a wall in front of the house planted with lots of miniature daffodils and small plants. I would love to plant some box balls with aubretia flowing down the wall. Im guessing i need to take out the daffodils? They look pretty now but afterwards I may have a wall of dying leaves. What should i do?

The Daffodils will die down and you can plant what you require, there is no need to rip them out, although I don't like Daffodils myself, so will advise you to take them out. Rubbery leaves and strange yellow trumpet flowers, a border wasted. The box balls should be in keeping in size and width to your wall depth, so be prepared to be clipping at certain times of the year. Access should be something you need to consider.
  • Access is fine. I don't like daffodils much either! I think they're great in grass verges and such where you can't see the dead leaves much but they're also in a big mass in my one big border. May need to move them. Thank you
