    1) is Papaver cambricum (welsh poppy)
    2) Euphorbia (not sure which one)
    3) looks like Forsythia
    4) is Choisya ternata I think
    5) ?
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thank you! I’m making an Online scrap book of all the plants so I know what I’ve got!

    Good idea!  :)
If the Choisya is more yellow than green it is probably the cultivar 'Sundance'.

    5., is a Spirea.
I think the Euphorbia is Blackbird.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

  • Thank you. Can I just check that this is welsh poppy too?

  • And is this a geranium of some sort?

I have a beuatiful well stocked garden which I inherited when we bought the house. After two years of just pruning and weeding I want to learn a bit more!

The latter looks like some sort of anemone, probably Anemone blanda.

Yes, agree with Puckdoc, the second photo looks like Eranthis Hyemalis.
