Coir Plugs for seedlings

Novice23Novice23 Posts: 182
Has anyone used these peat free coir plugs to germinate their seeds?  I have limited space to grow seedlings, and never want them all for my garden.  Wondered about using these and then I can give the extras away in their own plugs.   So if anyone has used them I would be really grateful for any thoughts, comments or ideas.  Also any suggestions on which are the best to use?

They’re ok but if you buy the ones with the tea bag type material on them, make sure you peel it off before potting on or planting out.
I've never used them, they take up too much room, bit I think a lot of people do.

I’ve tried them and wasn’t that impressed, they tend to dry out very quickly. I usually sow my seeds in to 3 inch square pots. You can get 15 pots in a full sized seed tray.
