Has anybody any experience of solar powered fountains and there success? We have no power supply to the garden so looking at solar as an alternative.

Nothing huge, but to create something similar to this:

No direct experience but a pump will need to draw a lot of water to create a waterfall that wide, and that requires quite a powerful pump.  I'm not sure that you will have any great success with anything solar powered.

Do you have an aquatic section in your local garden centre? They usually have a few features 'running' so you could see what you're getting. There are websites too - we've bought a few things from https://www.pondkeeper.co.uk/ and have found them reliable. They are by no means the only one though.
All you need to bear in mind is the solar panels can be a bit bigger than you might imagine, and you can't hide them too well or they won't get any sun. But carefully sited, and with a bit of research, I'm sure you could get something effective
