Sweet Potatoes

We are just trying to decide whether to grow Sw. Pots or not - seeing in some seed catalogues that slips are available and in other catalogues they come as super plug plants.  Has anyone had good results from either of these and which varieties.  We are told that we don't need to grow in a greenhouse or under a cloche this far south.

That is interesting scroggin - thanks for the info and it is encouraging to know your niece had good results, assuming from slips. Our neighbour is trying slips for the first time - so we thought we would try the plugs and so compare the end result/weight of yields.
