Solar panels pumps...any ideas?

  • @raisingirl so what does your pump achieve? does it pump water to another area? If so, what distance?  I am into looking under all stones:-)  Such a loss, Mr Pratchett :-(

    I'm not sure of the numbers - it pumps quite a high flow rate a short distance - maybe 10m up about 3m head. We use it to move water from a spring outflow to top up an enclosed pond. It's self balancing - high solar gain, high evaporation, faster pumping. Low solar gain, low pumping but less evaporation

    Hi, may I ask whether you had any progress secret garden? Im looking at a solar pump for my much much smaller waterfall, to raise about half a metre. Was hoping to just buy an off the shelf kit really

    Thanks, That’s the site I’ve found a couple of contenders on, but the reviews on them range from ‘brilliant’ to ‘terrible’ so at a loss as to whether they actually work or not!
