Rose Pruning

NewGrowNewGrow Posts: 17

Dear members, we have this very old lovely rose plant in our garden. We bought the house recently so now looking to give this prune to mend its shape a little bit to bring the height down and cut crossing canes etc.

This gave really nice big flowers last season and I can see the new shoots turning red.

We are in London - so is it a good time to do heavy pruning now?

Here's some advice in case you're unsure about where and how to prune it - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=178

Give it a generous feed of slow release fertiliser afterwards and it will repay you with plenty of healthy foliage and blooms.
