When do chionodoxa forbesii come up?

I bought some chionodoxa forbesii (Glory of the Snow) at the beginning of the month. They came as bulbs that were *just* starting to sprout and went in the ground two days after they arrived. They're supposed to flower in March but so far only 2 of 100 have poked their heads above ground.

Is this normal, or are mine struggling?

    Mine haven't appeared yet ... they've been naturalised here a few years now ... I wouldn't worry ...

  • Thanks, that's good to know. I'm very impatient but will have to learn to wait image

I planted mine (150 bulbs) in autumn 2016. They started to appear mid-march 2017 and were in flower at the end of march.

They have not yet appeared this year, but I'm expecting them any time soon (well, maybe after the freezing week that is forecast).
