What strawberry plants are best for flavour looking to plant up a 6 x 8ft greenhouse there are so many to choose from would like recommendations please
I just wonder why you want to use a greenhouse for strawberries? They taste better without it.
Unless you are looking to produce a particularly early crop I would save the greenhouse for something else that needs it more. Marshalls seeds have one called Marshmello which I find very good Malling centenary is widely available and is reputed to have very good flavour.
I'm answering here to, to the pm you sent me:
Strawberries can be grown in towers and pots, so no space needed. Examples:
Lovely thanks everso will look them up
My choice of strawberries is “Cambridge favourite “ a mid season plant, very good croppers and beautifully sweet fruit, definitely no need to grow them in a greenhouse, anywhere outside where they get a good bit of sun.
Yes there is a good reason Cambridge favourite has stood the test of time it is reputed to have been the number 1 at Wimbledon for many years. (Apart from the scandal year when the all of them were imported from the USA).
