Rosa 'The Fairy'

Hello

 Can anyone tell me what sort of pruning regime does rose The Fairy need? I've pruned bourbon rose before, tying down the long stems to to the ground so it produces flowers along the stem rather than at the tips, but reading on the web this rose has a different habit (more bushy groundcover?)

    The RHS offers info on caring for this rose here - https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/details?plantid=1709 and says it's a group 23 for pruning - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=178

    You should find plenty of info there.   Give it a good feed afterwards and don't prune when frost is forecast in the next few days;

    Friends of mine grow this rose in their garden along with about 1000 other shrub, standard, climbing and rambling roses so he just goes in and takes out dead wood, spindly wood and very old wood and then a general tidy but doesn't have time for careful pruning back to an outward facing bud in all those shrubs.  He still gets a good display.
