Decking

Hi, I recently bought a house where the back garden is part patio, part decking. I'd really like to return all or part of the back garden to lawn. How easy would this be and what steps need to be taken? Thanks for your help, Sarah

Well , it all depends on what's under the decking. If it's soil it shouldn't be too bad, but what if it's concrete? Different story.
You're only going to find out with a bit of exploratory work.
Good move though to get it back to being alive.
I'd not have a lawn in a small garden . Save the cost of a mower, somewhere to store it and the hassle of cutting it every week. A nice bit of hard surface to sit on and lots and lots of plants.
