When and where to buy the plants you want?!

Hi

I keep reading about specific varieties of plants, but then struggle to find them at garden centres etc. Am I the only one who suffers from this?

Do you know when and where I will be able to buy the following?

Geranium Storm Chaser

Fuchsia Twist and Shout

Cyclamen purpurascens

Thanks!

I buy a lot of my plants online, cheaper than GC. Many wonderful websites have been recommended to me since I joined the forum.

Cyclamen purpurescens is on the www.rareplants.co.uk website

Another good website especially for hardy geraniums is,

    http://www.plantpref.co.uk/

They have a vast selection and some unusual one too.

  • Always found that if you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary, unusual, rare or very new then your local GC is the last place to look.  Look online as suggested.

  • A proper nursery where they raise the plants themselves will be better than most general GC's as they inevitably cater for the mainstream. Most do mail order. The RHS plantfinder lists where plants can be obtained from.

    Totally agree with IainR

RHS plantfinder lists from the very common to the very rare . Well worth the price !
