Planting tulips
may I ask another kind member to give me some feedback on tulip planting times.
1) A friend has a huge amount of garden they need help developing, with heaps of space, & I am helping. Slowly I would like to start by seeing groups of white tulips on some of the empty presently grassy banks, & in clumps in spots of the several lawns too perhaps.
2) I still have white tulip bulbs I didnt get around to plant before Christmas. will they flower still this season ?
all helpful tips & advice will be appreciated.
”Thankyou”

I found this quick guide to planting tulips in January, it might help:

Hi
You would normally plant tulip bulbs from October to December, normally before the first frost of the year. You could attempt to plant them out now but they will probably flower later. Plant them in well drained soil - add hort.grit/sand when planting.
Follow-up question - I read about chilling tulip bulbs in the fridge to mimic winter. Would this be of any benefit before planting out?
Hi
They would need a "chilling period" of about 12 weeks to force that condition and then planted out to hopefully start to flower in late march
Thankyou fellow members:, dimwit, greenfingers steve & JoanneMartha - such kindnesses ??✅❤️ Bless you ? xxx
I plant mine in December, Monty recomends this because of the tulip fire.
