Thanks Richard. I bought it from my Clematis Man in Belgium so it's been in a big pot for 18 month snow. Did well despite the drought and heat because I could move it to shade in the heatwave. Lovely flower.
Our drought has finally broken and we're had 4cm or rain this last week. Only a deficit of 70 or 80 to make up but I'm hoping we can soon work the soil to make the new rose and clems bed.

Seen here in a local garden, Jan Fopma is almost 8 ft. tall.
