Amaryllis

I have last years amaryllis and a new black pearl bulb. They've both been planted according to instructions but both are producing leaves and no flower spike. Have I done something wrong? Help please.

Not necessarily. The flowers may be about to come up. If your leaves are fully grown, the flowers are unlikely to appear but if they are only a few inches, all may be well. There isn't much you can do but wait and see.
