I have a bed of strawberries less than 5 years old which have been invaded with couch grass clumps .... should I dig out and re plant the strawberries in another area ?
Strawberry plants should be replaced every few years so I would start from scratch in another place, using new plants.
It's best to replace every three years or take new plants from the third years runners and plant in the ground in a different place in the garden same year and repeat every three years.
Couch grass....... I'd take the lot out, dispose of them and start again I think.
yes, you can re-plant new strawberries plants in new place. Because the best life period of strawberries plants is up to three years. After this, you should have to re-plant these for the best output.
