I found this plant growing on my backgarden wall and wondered if it was poisonous as it has what looks like an ominous large black seed.
Leycesteria formosa. No idea re poisonous but black seeds are not a sign of poisonous. Otherwise where would we be with Blackcurrants and Blueberries
No not poisonous, sometimes gathered by foragers and used in cooking ... Although as with many fruit too manymight give you an upset tum.
the plants Is a pheasant berry, or Himalayan honeysuckle,
berries are non toxic, but don't taste particularly good. Birds love them though, and that's how they usually turn up in gardens in birds 'deposits'
