Problem with plum tree

image This is a picture of my plum tree , the whole of the tree is covered in what appears to be fungi , although they seem quite hard . Is this terminal or can I do anything ?

    I think that indicates that the trunk is rotting inside ... pretty sure it's not long for this world.  Sorry image
