Scotch bonnet

i have a scotch bonnet chillie plant I picked up this summer and I want to keep it going for next year. How do I over winter it? Shoukd I have it in the unheated greenhouse, the unheated conservatory or in the warm kitchen on a window ledge? How much water will it need ?

    I HAVE KEPT THEM GOING  (JUST) ON A WINDOWSILL IN THE KITCHEN. MOVE THEM AWAY FROM THE GLASS ON COLD NIGHTS THOUGH.

    Thanks and I think I may try both methods. I have a couple of other chilliest that I grew from seed this year so will split them all between the GH, conservatory and the kitchen.

    when you say cut them back to a few inches do I need to be looking for a bud to cut next to or is it anywhere on the stem?
