Black marks on kale

Hi

I picked some kale yesterday and some leaves have dark grey/black marks on them. Does anyone know what it is and whether it's ok to eat please?

    No I didn't, but I'm still here so it can't have been that bad!

    Just a bit of fungal stuff/mould. Wash thoroughly in salted water, cook and eat. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
