I have just extended a border, when removing turf I found mesh still in the lawn it hadn’t degraded and it’s been down nearly 10 years. It is Rolawn turf and they too said it is biodegradable 🙄
You will generally find that they are very careful NOT to say it is biodegradable. They say that is is degradable, in the sure hope that people will hear/read it as biodegradable and be reassured.

Im so glad I stumbled across this post before ordering from Hallstone (rolawn), I assumed "Oxygrid" was some revolutionary breakthrough that was good for the environment! Its certainly worded that way here! https://www.hallstonedirect.co.uk/customer-services/oxygrid
Unfortunately im probably in the minority that will be fortunate to spot this before its too late!
