New turf

Hi all,

can someone advise what this is in the new turf I have just laid. Some kind of flower/weed?

It is premium medallion turf supplied by supreme turfs and top soil. To be honest I do not know what to reply to the customer what is very fussy and asked what is this and is it going to be an issue going forward?

any comments are much appreciated

    It looks like grass that's gone to seed (grass seed).

    Yes, the grass has flowered.  When it's being regularly mown it'll be mowed off, but it may be too early after turfing to mow it, so the fussy customer is just going to have to be patient  ... grass is a plant ... all plants have flowers.  image
