Saving tree ferns

Hey guys, so we have two tree ferns in our office, I know it's the wrong place for them, but they have been doing ok. However, recently all the actual ferns have started going brown and drying out. I've watering them regularly and spraying the trunk which is very dry. Any ideas to help would be great!

I don’t know how its still alive at all, you must, and I can’t stress enough WATER, plenty WATER. At least a can 7 litre  twice a day in summer and once a day if no rain in winter. I hosepipe mine.

You would find it very heavy to lift so I doubt its even seen daylight much less freshair. I hope I don’t sound harsh but my first love are Ferns....?

with the correct care , pot or garden it will flourish.

Now your fronds will brown natually and some people cut them off and some pull them out But not till they are fully browned because the fronds feed the forming knuckles below.

if it freezes you need to buy a piece of fleece and roll it in a ball in the centre if it is lucky enough to be grown outside.

the fern apparently can be left indoors but needs misting often.

that is a great fern you have there...?

I'd donate those to someone who can give them the rigtht conditions, and buy a couple of 'unkillable' plants suited for an office environment. 

They should be outside getting plenty of rain, and in a location that will allow them to thrive, with protection over winter if necessary. They're really not ideal inside unless you really know what you're doing with them. They need light, which they clearly aren't getting enough of either.
