Columnar pear tree

How  and when do I prune a columnar pear tree, 2years old and just born fruit for the first time?

It's still a very young tree so at this stage it's just looking for any weak or diseased looking stems, and pruning them off. Trim away any crossing stems and look to create less growth growing inwards in the tree. Apart from that, there is no need to prune hard on any branches.

Wait till the leaves have dropped off for you to see the stucture properly. Don't prune yet. Whilst it's warm, you may encourage excess young grow that is not ideal right now.
