Bay tree suckers
I inherited a bay which was planted in a v narrow bed against a wall, with a retaining wall in front. It of course got too big, so I removed it, and have been trying to finally kill it off for about four years now . Those suckers just keep on coming up. Because of the awkwardness of the position it would be impossible to dig the root up, but I am happy to have the root in as l can plant around it and I guess it will eventually decompose. But what do I do to actually get shot of it once and for all. Any ideas? If I remove the suckers will that weaken the plant, or will it stimulate it? Thanks
